Our product portfolio includes antibodies, ELISA kits, tools for AAV gene therapy, density gradient media, phage display systems and research kits & tools. Since 1983, PROGEN has been an established manufacturer and supplier of premium antibodies, in vitro diagnostics, and reagents for the global life science research community. While PROGEN ’s antibodies are among the most published antibodies in biomedical and cell biology literature, its ELISA kits aim at niche markets in microbiology, infectious diseases and immunology.
PROGEN does not produce custom antibodies. However, we value input from our customers in order to improve our product range. Please contact our technical service!
Upon request, we will send you PROGEN's current catalog.
PROGEN has implemented a rigorous quality control management system, which received the EN ISO 13485:2003 + AC:2007 standard certificate by the mdc medical device certification GmbH. On a regular basis, we participate in a number of quality assessment schemes, including Instand (Germany) and DGKL (German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine), Germany. PROGEN's products meet the essential requirements of the directive 98/79/EC of 27 October 1998 on in vitro diagnostic medical devices. Our commitment is to deliver premium quality to meet our customers' highest standards.
Controlled & Established Quality
Antibodies from scientific collaborations, manufactured in Germany according to DIN ISO 13485 for the production of in vitro diagnostic devices and research reagents - market-proven since 1983.
Thorough Antibody Validation
Internal validation with control sera and external independent academic quality control of our immunohistochemistry antibodies. Our recent antibody validation initiative by epitope mapping has been highly commended by CiteAb in the 2018 awards.
Data on applications, selectivity, specificity and positive controls for many products.
Development of next generation recombinant antibodies with superior reliability and specificity.
PROGEN's antibodies are among the most published antibodies in biomedical and cell biology literature.
PROGEN does not keep animals for antibody generation in-house. Production at PROGEN is limited to monoclonal antibodies which are generated using hybridoma cell culture techniques. Hybridoma clones are in-licensed from academic partners in Germany. Polyclonal antisera are obtained from industrial partners, such as Seramun Diagnostica GmbH. PROGEN chooses only collaborators that adhere strictly to animal welfare guide lines.
PROGEN greatly supports animal welfare efforts and actively engages in the development of innovative methods to generate premium antibodies without the use of animals. The company already offers a highly effective phage display technology for the production of recombinant, tailored antibodies. The advantage of this method is not only the avoidance of animal use but also the generation of custom-fit, reliable antibodies.
